Back in 2013, Land Rover fully merged with another luxury carmaker from the UK, Jaguar. With the phenomenal boom in worldwide sales of electric vehicles, like other European car manufacturers, Jaguar Land Rover is quick to prepare the rollout of its own electric vehicles in the Australian market this September (2018). Its primary concerns, however, remain to be the seeming lack of more solid government support for vehicle electrification in terms of policy and regulatory framework and infrastructures (i.e. charging stations), as well as the persistent skills shortage within the local automotive industry.

Australian-recognised trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician (Light Vehicle Mechanical)

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician in a Land Rover authorised dealership within the last 5 years

Good English communication and interpersonal skills

Current driver’s license
Desirable

Training certificate/s from Land Rover (i.e. Land Rover Certified Service Technician, Land Rover Certified Diagnostic Technician, and/or Land Rover Certified Master Technician)

Excellent diagnostic skills and proficiency in all repair work on Land Rover vehicles
