Mercedes-Benz (MB) has been recognized as one of the most popular luxury car brands in Australia, capturing almost 30 percent of the total local car sales last year (2017) – the largest market share in the premium car category.  While other competing German cars recently experienced significant sales drop, Mercedes-Benz brand in the country posted increasing sales growth in the last couple of years, particularly for its passenger cars such as the Mercedes A-Class and CLA, as well as Mercedes SUVs. 

With its continuing leadership position in the local vehicle market, Mercedes-Benz is now faced with higher demands as well in terms of aftersales servicing and repairs, which translates to a greater need for more Automotive Technicians with specific training and experience in the brand.  Mercedes-Benz dealerships are now experiencing the shortage in brand-specific skills in the local market, and therefore, have also started looking at the international talent pool to address their immediate business requirements for Certified Mercedes-Benz Diagnostic Technicians and Master Technicians, alongside their ongoing apprenticeship program. 

Essential requirements to be considered: 

1. Australian-recognised trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician (Light Vehicle Mechanical)
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician in an Mercedes-Benz authorised dealership within the last 5 years
3. Good English communication and interpersonal skills
4. Current driver’s license

Desired qualifications, skills and experience: 

1. Training certificate/s from Mercedes-Benz (i.e. MB Certified Service Technician, MB Certified Diagnostic Technician, and/or MB Certified Master Technician
2. Excellent diagnostic skills and proficiency in all repair work on Mercedes-Benz vehicles
